The Story So Far
The Beginning
In the end of October 2009 the Pirates Society received a call to action from a polar scientist by the name of Frank Weiss. He is working for the Arctic-Institute in Rostock and he had gotten a package from his good friend Nils von Habermann. Nils had included a video message into that package and it appeared that he was in real trouble.
Julius Grüneberger is in the lead of the Pirates Society now due to some incidents that happened within the last weeks. Since then he has sent out his Navigators all over Germany and the Netherlands to get in contact with the rest of the crew and to gather new strength for Pirates Society. He had set up a video message for all new crew members.
Mission 1: A Last Message From A Good Friend
The package that Frank Weiss had received from Nils von Habermann included the video message on an USB-device and a package of sweets. Frank sent the package to one of the crew members for further investigation. As Ralph received the package and examined it he found out that some of the sweets were wrapped in a different paper. They included some hidden notes from Nils that pointed to a new location: Cologne.
Mission 2: Creakier Be
The coordinates given on the hidden messages lead the Pirates Society members to the library of the Geographical Institute in Cologne. Nils von Habermann had left another package in there waiting for them. They only had to ask for a package that was left for Frank Weiss.
When they opened the package they found another USB-device, some photos and more papers and notes from Nils.

While the crew was discussing the information they had found, they also got aware of the website of Polar Expertise, a company that somehow seemed to be connected to the Arctic Institute. But what is their connection?
And again, Nils had hidden some more things within these notes. He left some hidden coordinates to a new location.
Mission 3: The English Garden
This time the crew members had to go on a shore leave in the English Garden in Munich but when they came across the location at the given coordinates they couldn't identify anything that looked like a hidden package at first. Luckily Nils had given them the phone number of Frank in his last package so they were able to contact him and ask him for whether he could help them.
In addition to Nils' last video message Frank told them that they used to hide messages in two or three different locations in their years at school: trash bins, mail boxes and pipes. With these new information the package was discovered within a few minutes.

In his video message, Nils spoke about a suspicios captain which was called Gerome Bruné and about the Arctic Sea. In his opinion the latter one was delivering something for their expedition into the arctic but he couldn't really tell what it was or what it might be. Therefore he took a photo from one of the containers on the ship. The container were sent by the Malalim Mining Company Ltd.
For some reasons Nils had included a ticket for the zoo in Nuremberg as well. So the crew knew where to go next.
Mission 4: A Visit To The Zoo
The crew gathered in Nuremberg to go for a visit into the zoo. They found a hidden envelope at the given coordinates.

The Pirates Society received a letter that appeared to be a top secret document. It was handed over to the Society by a member of the press and he didn't want to tell his sources.
Some of the information that Nils had hidden in the documents and notes lead the members of the Pirates Society to his email account. They now gained access to the account and found an email that arrived in Nils' acocunt just a few days ago. A zipped powerpoint presentation was attached to the email so there may be a new clues about what was Nils working on. In the following map the various maps from the presentation were laid over one by one.
Mission 5: A Message in a bottle
A friend of Nils contacted him by email. She wrote that she had received his package and that she had hidden it as he wished. Up to now, the package hasn't been found. It is waiting at the Biological Centre for Plant Physiology to be found.
Mission 6: The Arctic Vulcano
Is there really something like an arctic Vulcano? Nils had already made use of scheduled emails before but this time he had attached the photo of a receipt to his email. He must have been to the Eiscafé Pierod in Karlsruhe and he must have eaten an ice speciality there. When one of the Pirates went to that place and asked for the "arctic Volcano", he didn't only get the package that Nils had left there but he got an ice there, too.
